Parameters

Parameter name Parameter type Required? Description
token any The bot token to log on with. This is not the same as the bot’s client ID. For more information on registering a bot and obtaining a bot token, see Piecewise’s tutorial or the Discord developers site. Note: Piecewise does not and will not support selfbots.
ignore_me any Whether to ignore actions taken by the bot itself (i.e. sending messages), if possible. It’s recommended to keep this checked, unless you know what you’re doing.
ignore_bots any Whether to ignore actions taken by other users that have the [BOT] tag, if possible. It’s recommended to keep this checked, unless you know what you’re doing.
ignore_system any Whether to ignore system events (i.e. user join announcement messages). It’s recommended to keep this checked, unless you know what you’re doing.
request_presence_intent any Whether to request the presence privileged intent, which grants access to user presence data. You must also request the intent in the developer console. If your bot is in 100 or more servers, you must apply for whitelisting with Discord.
request_members_intent any Whether to request the members privileged intent, which grants access to information about server members. You must also request the intent in the developer console. If your bot is in 100 or more servers, you must apply for whitelisting with Discord.
